In addition to our regular Alumni Profile series, sometimes we hear about great things our graduates are doing around the country. Why not share them?

SUNY College of Optometry celebrates its Alumni with Alumni Reunion Weekend October 20 and 21.

Binghamton University graduate and nurse Mary Guadrón recieves the 2012 Altes Prize for Exemplary Community Service for her work in Saratoga County.

Maritime College welcomes Alum Captain Bruce Fuchs of the U.S. Navy Reserve to be the honorary coin flipper prior to kickoff of last week’s football game.

SUNY Plattsburgh alumnus Dr. Haagen Klaus returns to the North Country to present “Tombs, Mummies and Treasures: A Retrospective on 15 Years of Archeological Adventures from SUNY Plattsburgh to South America” on October 8.

Art exhibition titled “Oswego Art Alums”, featuring artwork by SUNY Oswego alumni artists, nominated by current and former art faculty members, was on display through October 6.

New Paltz graduate Nava Atlas displays her artwork at the College of New Rochelle in a show titled “In Retrospect” through November 4.

Update 10/10/12: Jennifer Suhr, US Olympian, is not a SUNY Fredonia alum; rather, a Western NY native.  The piece pertaining to her has been removed.
