As we count down to the new year, we thought we’d share some of the SUNY news you may have missed during 2012.

SUNY Announces First Innovative Instruction Technology Grants

Back in August, SUNY announced the first recipients of the Innovative Instruction Technology Grants (IITG) program.  The program – which is open to SUNY faculty and support staff – encourages solutions to meet The Power of SUNY’s mission.  The hope is that project outcomes and initiatives will be replicated throughout the SUNY system to benefit students and faculty worldwide.

Forty eight proposals were funded to develop educational gaming tools, e-textbooks, online classes, e-portfolios for lifelong learning, and more.  Additionally, many of the awards involve collaboration between campuses and local organizations and businesses.
