“Painting the wall” is a longstanding tradition for students at SUNY Oneonta and neighboring Hartwick College. Throughout the year, students take turns painting the concrete wall on West Street, just below the Hartwick campus and a few blocks from the main SUNY Oneonta campus entrance, to advertise campus and community events. An enthusiastic group of SUNY Oneonta seniors painted the wall Thursday morning in celebration of the college’s 124th commencement, to be held on Saturday, May 18.
