The start of May brings the end of the school year, meaning that graduation season is here, starting this weekend. With that, we want to extend a big congratulations to all of our upcoming graduates. All 64 SUNY campuses are getting ready to celebrate the success and accomplishments of our students through various graduation ceremonies and events. Your families, friends, and loved ones will also take part in the festivities, commending you for all of your hard work.
You’ve put in the long hours at the library to ace tests and complete group projects, you’ve gotten involved on campus and given back to your local communities, and you’ve hopefully made friendships and connections that will last a lifetime. Now, it’s time to kick back, relax, and pat yourself on the back for receiving your degree. You did it!
As you move on to the next chapter in your life, your SUNY degree will take you far, as evidenced by our three million alumni who have gone on to do great things in many different fields. Now you are a part of that far-reaching network of alumni as well. Additionally, the experiences that you take with you from your time as a SUNY student will help you achieve your goals and impact those around you.
To our graduates, we are happy to take part in celebrating this monumental moment in your lives, and we are proud of all that you accomplished as SUNY students. We wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors and can’t wait to see where you land after graduation. Always remember that no matter how big or small the effect is, you have the power to positively impact New York State, and you will achieve great things. Congratulations, Class of 2018!
