Members of Fulton-Montgomery Community College‘s Medical Imaging Student Association (MISA), the Student Senate Club that is comprised of students who are studying in the Radiologic Technology program, adopted 65 Holiday Angels from the Montgomery County Salvation Army this year.  This represents 18% of the available angels who were eligible for this outreach programThe donations were dropped off at the United Methodist Church in Amsterdam, NY. Current students, alumni of the program and faculty in this program purchased items for children and families in need.

“This is one of the many volunteer activities that our MISA club takes part in each year, and it was especially poignant this year to our students and the community in light of the pandemic” stated faculty member Kullen Bailey. Per Program Directoy Karlyn LaBate, “I am grateful that the graduates of the program still participate. This is an awesome event that the alumni continue to be a part of. Their generosity brings a sense of togetherness to our community. The giving spirit of our students is amazing, and I love reconnecting with our graduates.”

Faculty members and club advisors Karlyn LaBate and Kullen Bailey delivered the packages during the week of December 14.
