- Where are you from?
Morrisville, NY
- What do you do to get pumped before a game?
I like to start with some calming breathing exercises to really center my chi. Next, it’s a short trot, and a stretch before I crank up some tunes. I have a pretty unpredictable play list but right before I go out, I listen to Wilson Pickett’s version of “Mustang Sally.” It never fails to get me dancing. While I know they’re singing about a car, I like to think it’s about me. When the song’s over, I go greet the team and our fans in a burst of energy.
- What is your favorite snack?
I really should say something healthy like fruits and vegetables but I love sugar cubes! I can never turn down a sugar cube.
- Who is your biggest SUNY Rival?
Rival is such a strong word. I would prefer “friend.” I’m “friends” with the Wildcat at SUNY Poly and the Red Dragon at SUNY Cortland. They are great friends, that is, until our schools are competing against each other. When it is competition time we set aside our friendship. #MustangNation
- How do you stay in shape?
I run. I could run for days. There is nothing like the feeling of the fresh country air flowing through your mane…….
- What do you do in your spare time?
I spend a lot of time outside, doing yard work. I’m pretty serious when it comes to landscaping. The grass blades need to be a uniform height, you know.
- What is your favorite TV show?
SCANDAL! You just never know what’s going to happen next. I wasn’t really a big fan of the whole kidnapping plot though. Any other Gladiators out there?
- What’s the greatest aspect of being a mascot?
Being in the limelight for sure and you’re free to show the world just how passionate you are about what is important to you. I see the humans around me are often reserved in their day-to-day activities. I try to show them that when you are at a Morrisville State College game you can let loose and have some fun. I try to show by example (and by that I mean getting a little crazy) that a Mustang’s game is an outlet for showing your school pride.
- Name a place that you would like to travel to.
My heart is set on Churchill Downs to see The Kentucky Derby, for sure.
- What’s the best part about being from New York?
It’s difficult to name just one…New York State is so diverse, I have friends who come from different backgrounds, cultures, have different hobbies, and the list goes on. I think it makes me a well-rounded mascot and it has certainly improved my interpersonal skills. MSC’s student body mirrors the makeup of NYS and I couldn’t be prouder of that fact.
