The value of a SUNY education is second to none among colleges and universities across the country, thanks in part, to the choice in degree programs partnered with the affordable cost of attendance. This value has once again been recognized in the recent annual Kiplinger’s Best Value Colleges for 2016, as several SUNY school made the list.
The Kiplinger’s list makes it’s selections based on academics and affordability of institutions from coast to coast. In order to compile the rankings, the company measures nearly 1,200 public and private four-year schools, using 55% quality measures and 45% financial measures to form the rankings among the institutions. These figures account for competitiveness, graduation rates, cost and financial aid, and student debt.
SUNY schools are continuously recognized for their value in academic excellence. A number of campuses were also named Best College Values in last year’s Kiplinger’s list. As we push forward towards reaching a level of 150,000 awarded degrees annually, students can recognize that the more than 7,000 degree programs and 35,000 faculty experts available across the state, along with tuition and fees that are among the lowest and most competitive in the nation, provide them exceptional opportunity at whichever SUNY they choose.
