When students look to pick a college, there are many different criteria that matter to each individual. Many students start with the simple questions of “How likely am I to graduate?” and “How affordable is college?” But students and families also care about whether the college has plenty of resources to support student education, how accessible teachers are to students, how diverse is the campus, and on and on.
The 2022 edition of the annual Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings help answer these questions. The rankings analyze 800 colleges and universities across America through the Times Higher Education US Student Survey, which examines key issues including students’ engagement with their studies, student-teacher interactions, and student satisfaction with their college experience. The findings are then balanced into an overall methodology that composed of four key areas – resources, engagement, outcomes, and environment.
