Hi everyone!
My name is Julia Day and I’m very excited to help out at the SUNY Office of New Media as a social media intern. I am a senior at the University at Albany pursuing a double major in Communications and Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and will be graduating this upcoming May 2016 – time flies!
For the past two years I have been the Arts and Entertainment Editor at the Albany Student Press, which has helped me utilize my love for writing and media. I have been a member of Albany Student Television since freshman year, where I create short promo videos and commercials and was also a former Executive Producer for the student talk show Nerdatory. I work part time as a Student Assistant at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for UAlbany. In the past I was a marketing intern for WAMC Northeast Public Radio, as well as a social media and digital marketing intern at Nickelodeon.
The time I have spent as an undergraduate student at UAlbany has been a phenomenal learning experience, both in and out of the classroom. As a SUNY student, I am looking forward to sharing current research initiatives, entertainment facts, campus life tips, sports events and other things that will be popping up in SUNY related news for the upcoming months. During my time as a social media intern for New Media, I hope that my articles will resonate with prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and all those interested in SUNY!
