The Princeton Review has again published its annual Best College Rankings which lists, in no particular order, the 380 schools that comprise the top 15 percent of all four-year colleges in the nation. This publication also includes eight more best rankings lists of specific categories, such as “Best Northeastern”, “Green Colleges”, and “200 Colleges That Pay You Back.”
These Princeton Review rankings are based on surveys of 136,000 students who attend the 380 colleges in the book. These students were asked 80 questions about their school’s academics, administration, student body, and themselves in which numerical values were gathered to compare student opinions. The values are computed to a total, weighted number which produces rankings in certain categories. However, The Princeton Review does not report the overall ranking of any schools in this publication.
Since 1992, the Princeton Review has published these college rankings each year in its annual Best Colleges guide. The continued positive showings for a number of SUNY schools shows the value and performance of the system as a whole, from the student perspective.
