My name is Arthur Ramsay, and I’m a new intern with the SUNY Digital Engagement team! This fall, I will be completing my bachelor’s degree in American history and politics at Empire State College through their Interdisciplinary Studies program.
As a transfer student, I was stunned at how open and welcoming the SUNY community was to me. I’m finishing my term with the SUNY Student Assembly as Deputy Director of Communications and will be continuing with the Student Assembly this year as the new Deputy Director of Academic Affairs! This spring, I interned with the New York State Assembly, working primarily with education funding research and analysis.
I serve the Empire State College community through my role as a student member of the Student Activity Fee Committee, which has responsibility for financial oversight of all College-wide programs and student groups, as well as commencement ceremonies and other large-scale events.
I’m excited to work with the Digital Engagement and Communications team at SUNY and all the staff at the SUNY Global Center in Manhattan this summer and look forward to engaging New Yorkers with SUNY’s sixty-four schools and our shared community!
