Each year, the Princeton Review surveys students around the U.S. to find out which American colleges are the best in a multitude of categories. Once again this year, many SUNY schools have the honor of being named to these lists, which include six campuses on The Best 381 Colleges list.
These Princeton Review rankings come straight from the horse’s mouth—the publication surveyed 143,000 college students to come up with their 2017 rankings. Students reviewed their schools in terms of academic rigor, cost and financial aid, career services, environmental friendliness, and much more to produce the rankings.
In addition to the main list of Best 381 Schools, SUNY schools have also been included in the lists for Best Northeastern schools, Green Colleges, Colleges That Pay You Back, Most Engaged in Community Service, and Best College Dorms.
“The annual Princeton Review rankings of the ‘best colleges’ in the country are a point of pride for SUNY as well as each of the colleges and universities recognized for the outstanding work they do on behalf of our students, faculty, and staff,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher. “The rankings are also a signal to our students that SUNY is dedicated to providing them with a highly valuable degree, which will serve them well long after graduation.”
It comes as no surprise to us that several SUNY schools made the cut. Borne from a strong legacy in higher education, many of our 64 campuses are known for their academic rigor, expert faculty, wealth of research opportunities, and innovative academic programs. With locations all over New York State, you’re bound to find the campus community you’re looking for, whether it’s near a big city, a small town, or in a rural area.

Thank you princeton review. An useful & helpful survey to usa students. Please make international survey reviews to help international students also especially in medical schools list.
Well there is only 4 medical schools in the SUNY system.
University at Buffalo – Jacobs School of Medicine
Stony Brook School of Medicine
SUNY Upstate Medical Center
SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Our of these 4 I would say the University at Buffalo School of Medicine is by far the best one. Just built a brand new building for the medical school and it was founded by 13th U.S. President Millard Fillmore in 1846, making it the oldest and most prestigious.
This is a great news, those ranking for SUNY schools are impressive, they demonstrate the qualities of the eduction provided.
