When it comes to picking the right college, student opinions matter. They are the ones who experience all that colleges have to offer first hand. That’s why the Princeton Review surveys students for their annual book of rankings, as they have done again in the newly released list of the Best 382 Colleges in America for 2018.
This year, there were 137,000 students who took the survey that asked them questions about their school’s academics/administration, life at their college, their fellow students, and themselves. Students answer the questions be selecting answers that range from least/worst to most/best. The methodology of the ranking list then compiles all of that info into a number of categories that become the big book of lists we know so well.
These rankings don’t place the schools in numerical order. Instead, they give us an even perspective on the student experience, both academically and socially, at hundreds of schools across the country. There are 16 SUNY schools included in this year’s list, which shows how the hard work that we do to provide students with the access and the means to completion brings value to the college experience.
“There are so many people at our campuses that are dedicated to giving our students the education and resources they need to thrive in college and in their future careers, and The Princeton Review rankings is an affirmation from our students that we are doing it right,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher.
