To kick off the 30 Days of Giving, the SUNY Impact Foundation is getting into the holiday spirit. In an effort to raise awareness of important programs to enhance student success, the Impact Foundation has registered to join a large list of charities and be a part of AmazonSmile.
AmazonSmile is a program where shoppers can support charitable organizations by donating 0.5% of their eligible purchases made with Amazon to an organization of their choice, like the Impact Foundation. It’s an easy way to help charities expand their scope of work. And for the Impact Foundation, replicating and scaling proven success programs across SUNY’s 64 colleges and universities is at the core of its mission.
So far this year, the Impact Foundation has done a lot of work raising awareness and funding of SUNY programs and initiatives. More than $25,000 was raised this fall to help support the recovery efforts of those displaced by Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, and Irma. At an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of SUNY’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), more than half a million was raised to benefit the 47 EOPs across the SUNY system. And there have been many more efforts throughout the year carried out in an effort to increase student success.
You can visit the Impact Foundation website to get more information on some of the programs they are focusing on.
