MONEY analyzed over 700 colleges and universities across America based on criteria such as graduation rates, tuition prices, alumni earnings, and more to create these rankings. Their methodology consisted of reviewing three categories, which each counted as 1/3 of the weight of how a school was ranked:
Quality of Education – 6-year graduation rate, peer quality, financial troubles, value-added graduation rate, instructor quality, plus more.
Affordability – Net price of a degree, student load repayment and default risk, affordability, plus more.
Outcomes – Graduates’ earnings, employment outcomes, socio-economic mobility, job meaning, plus more.
