Once a month, Purchase College teams up with Feeding Westchester to run a Mobile Pantry on campus. The Mobile Food Pantry brings fresh protein, dairy, produce, and grains directly to campus.
An estimated 4,000–5,000 pounds of food is available at the Mobile Food Pantry.
Over the fall semester, the food pantry was able to assist hundreds of students, staff members, and local community members.
In total, 295 people came to Mobile Food Pantry events while 677 individuals were served through food picked up via the ongoing pantry, including children, adults, and seniors.
Purchase welcomed State Senator Shelley Mayer to our first Mobile Food Pantry event this semester. She distributed face masks to individuals in line.
