This summer, twenty of SUNY Polytechnic Institute‘s incoming first-year EOP students joined others and volunteered at the Johnson and Park Center food and school supply giveaway, meant to support families that can’t afford these important items ahead of the K-12 school year.
Hundreds of families came to the giveaway event to receive food stuff and schools supplies. Items such as paper, notebooks, binders, crayons, etc. were given to families with children starting school this year. A total of 2,000 bags of school supplies were handed out.
Throughout the day long event, the SUNY Poly community helped provide the materials needed to raise positive successful children that can be the next generation of leaders we need.
