Participants in the Empire State Service Corps can choose from a variety of focus areas, either on their campus or within their local communities. The program features several key roles in 7 areas:
- K-12 Tutoring Corps: Support students in primary and secondary education.
- SNAP and Basic Needs Outreach Corps: Assist individuals in accessing essential services.
- Peer Mental Health Corps: Promote mental health awareness and provide support among peers.
- Sustainability Corps: Contribute to environmental conservation and sustainability efforts.
- Anti-Hate and Bias Prevention Corps: Engage in initiatives to reduce hate and bias in communities.
- Civic Engagement Corps: Facilitate and encourage active participation in civic life.
- FAFSA Completion Corps: Help students complete their financial aid applications.
