What is the best SUNY college? How does SUNY rank?
We are often asked these questions, and my answer is always the same: Each SUNY campus is different – so let’s find the one that fits you best. Because at the end of your college experience, what value will your degree have if you were unable to get the most out of your time there? Before we jump into this, let me first tell you that no matter your initial decision, you can seamlessly transfer your general education courses between any SUNY campus. And, to illustrate the ease of transferability within SUNY, thousands of our students transfer within the 64-campus system every year.
So, you have two options at this point. The best is to take a moment to see where your best fit might be. You can increase the chance that your selected campus is your best fit by exploring some tools we offer on our Web site for prospective students. Use our Campus Search and our Academic Program Search tools to help answer the question, “Which SUNY Are You?”
The other option is to head over to a page where we compile a list of campuses that are nationally and globally recognized for various strengths, like environmental sustainability, community service, or best value. We call this What Others Say About SUNY. However, I caution you not to rely too heavily on rankings; they tell only a small part of the story!
So, whichever path you take on the way to making your decision about college, I wish you luck and remind you that we are always here to help!
