The College at Brockport community has rallied to help families in need this holiday season. The College’s annual Seasons of Gratitude campaign concluded Dec. 5 and was a tremendous success.
Individuals, departments, clubs and organizations at the College were encouraged to participate in a number of different ways. They could build holiday food baskets, household laundry baskets, personal care bags, or manage a donation collection box.
The goals of the Seasons of Gratitude campaign is to focus on domestic poverty and education, which creates opportunities to engage a broad cross-section of faculty, staff, students and community partners in building relationships as food items are collected and distributed by need.
The 2014 campaign resulted in the collection of 470 food items, 352 personal hygiene and household items, $900 in gift cards, and two dozen handmade holiday cards.
