Recent SUNY Cortland alumnus has taken his degree in sports management and business economics and done something most unusual for a young 22-year old — he decided to pay a one-time membership fee of $10,000 to buy an American Basketball Association (ABA) team in Brooklyn. The league, which is set to have more than 100 teams next season with over 1,000 players, began in 1999 as a developmental league for players aspiring to be drafted to the NBA D-League or play in a professional league overseas.
