With only a few more weeks of summer left, students everywhere are getting ready for the start of a new school year. If you’re in high school, you’ll soon need to tackle the college application process. That means building your activity resume, asking for recommendation letters, putting the finishing touches on your essay…and, of course, applying! Luckily, SUNY makes it easy to complete your applications with applySUNY – our online portal where you can submit one application for admission, any required supplemental applications, and your academic record all in one place.
As of today, the 2016 SUNY undergraduate application is now available online. With the applySUNY portal, you can complete your application and submit your documents once – and we’ll transmit it to as many SUNY campuses as you want. You don’t have to fill out your information over and over again, or send your forms to multiple SUNY campuses; it’s fast, easy, and green!
To make things even easier, we created a step-by-step list of instructions for applying. First and foremost, make sure you know which campuses and academic programs you’re applying to. This year, there are nearly 100 new programs to choose from across the SUNY system! You can search our undergraduate programs by major to find campuses that offer the curriculum you want to pursue. If you’re still undecided, that’s okay too – you can search by campus to see what programs are offered at the schools you’re interested in.
Be sure to plan ahead! Our handy Countdown to SUNY guide can help you set your goals for the upcoming year. If you stay organized, you can submit your college application sooner rather than later – that way, you won’t have to worry about your preferred campus or academic program filling up.
