In addition to the yearly lists of best colleges and top nationwide values among colleges and universities, the nation’s community colleges are also measured and reviewed in various performance figures. The yearly Top 100 report from Community College Week, recently produced for 2015, is one such example of quality measures of our community colleges in a number of categories. And just like our 4 year counterparts, SUNY’s community colleges and 2-year programs have a strong presence on the latest Community College Week Top 100 report.
The Top 100 report is a yearly publication that provides statistics on our nation’s community colleges and which academic disciplines are the most popular and whether colleges are contributing to the national goal of producing more graduates. The information is gathered from U.S. Department of Education data.
As proof of performance, SUNY’s community colleges offer comprehensive learning opportunities for their students, ranging from transfer and career degrees to programs customized to serve specific individual, community, business and economic development needs. Along with being a great source of continuing education for all student types, community colleges are also a top source of workforce development and training in New York State.
