In one day, SUNY will host the 2015 Critical Issues in Higher Education in New York City. This year’s event will explore some of today’s most pressing questions in higher education through the theme: Building a New Business Model for the Academy: Partnerships, Affiliations, Mergers & Acquisitions.
- What do colleges and universities need to do today to ensure future strength and relevance?
- How do the academy, government, business, and the philanthropic sector work together effectively to create resilient and sustainable communities?
- How does higher education adapt to the changing demands of society without compromising the core academic mission?
Helping us find answers to these and other questions will be great minds from business, media, higher education, and more. From keynote speaker John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods; luncheon keynote speaker Alan Alda; CNN personality Christine Romans; Program Director of the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation Ann Austin; and many more, the event will have many great discussions and learning panels to engage members of the higher education and business communities.
Throughout the event, we will be live blogging the keynote and plenary sessions to bring you closer to the conversations taking place in New York City. Join us and speak out with questions or comments on how we can Build a New Business Model for the Academy.
