SUNY Schools Recognized Among the Best in the Nation for 2019 by Princeton Review

It takes a lot of time and research to find the right college for you and your life goals. To help us along the way, we have publishers that poll and research to compile yearly lists of top performing schools across the nation. The Princeton Review is one such organization, and they have just released their latest comprehensive version in the The Best 384 Colleges—2019 Edition. Once again, SUNY is well represented on this list with nine total colleges and universities ranked among the best in the country in a variety of categories.

This report holds value because it is a student run report. As is typical in the process, the Princeton Review surveyed 138,000 students this year to ask them a series of 80 questions about their school’s academics/administration, life at their college, their fellow students, and themselves. Students answer the questions by selecting answers that range from least/worst to most/best. The methodology of the ranking list then compiles all of that info into a number of categories that become the series of lists we all recognize.

The Princeton Review does not specifically rank the schools that make their complete list of Best Colleges. They only rank within each of the 62 different smaller list categories. In total, the overall list and accompanying category lists are a direct result of what surveyed students at each school reported about their own campus experiences as well as how they rated various aspects of their college life.

In addition to those that were named best overall, our nine schools that made it into this year’s book are represented in categories like Best Northeastern Schools, Top Green Colleges, Best Career Placement, LGBTQ-Friendly, and more. So without further adieu, let’s see which SUNY schools have been recognized among the best in the country by students for the 2018-2019 academic year.
