The mission of the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (a division of Niagara County Community College) Student Club is to provide all students with networking opportunities, community service opportunities and to empower them to become the best individuals they can become. The club, which has over fifty members, participates in over a dozen community service events every year.
NFCI Chef Nathan Koscielski and Admissions Advisor Sabrina Faso are the club advisors and reactivated the club in 2016.
Some events that club members volunteer for are the Festival of Trees, NFCI Gingerbread Wonderland, American Culinary Federation Taste of Culinary, donating care packages to the needy, donating homemade dog treats to the Niagara County SPCA and collecting and donating over one hundred canned goods annually to the area shelters.
This past year, the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute Student Club volunteered their time to make over 500 healthy granola snacks for the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club afterschool program. NFCI students and advisors were able to educate children about the importance of healthy eating and positive lifestyle changes.
