As we enter in to round 3 of SUNY Mascot Madness 2021, there’s a lot of new leaders in the race for New York’s favorite mascot. This is turning into the year of the underdog and the rookies as many of our perennial favorites are out and different mascots are leading the way to the finals. The defending champion (Rip Van Winkle) still remains, but the rest of the Elite 8 are fresh faces in our mascot game. Will this trend continue to the end of the tournament? It’s possible, but it depends on you the voter. There are 2 rounds left after this one, so every vote counts.
The schedule for this year’s tournament is as follows:
Round 1 = March 16-19: View results
Round 2 = March 22-24 View results
Round 3 = March 25-29
Round 4 = March 31-April 2
Finals = April 5-7
Meet the mascots:
Fans will be able to vote once per day per game. In order for your vote to count, you simply have to verify it via an active email address. Once the round ends, the competitor with more votes cast moves on to the next round. Round 3 begins Thursday, March 25th at 12:00pm and ends on Monday, March 29 at 3:00pm.
