While some concerns about college focus on its cost, SUNY campuses actually have some of the best value – the combination of cost and quality – in the nation. But what about when it comes to actually finding a job? Many fields continue to offer amazing career prospects for students entering or currently in college. But how do we know what to focus on? With all the talk about how college graduates can’t find jobs, it can be easy for students to get discouraged.
Luckily, all the doom and gloom may not be as bad as you think. If you’re looking to match a career path with your areas of study in college, there are many opportunities in a variety of fields, even for students and recent graduates. You’re still better off with a college education than without; graduates tend to earn more and the unemployment rate has consistently been lower among college graduates than those with only a high school diploma.
