Ten SUNY campuses have been named as “Best College Values” in public colleges and universities by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance in a number of metrics for 2015. SUNY Geneseo was named the top rated school for Best College Values Under $30,000 per Year.
The rankings by Kiplinger’s are based on a combination of values to measure a quality education at an affordable price, with quality criteria accounting for 55% of total points, and cost criteria accounting for 45%. Included in these measures are competitiveness (admission rates), graduation rates, academic support, coast and financial aid, and student indebtedness.

This year’s list follows last year, when nine SUNY schools were nationally ranked among the best values in public colleges in Kiplinger’s 2014 list of 100 Best Values in Public Colleges.
