It’s International Education Week

  1. What a wonderful way for SUNY to highlight the importance of global exchange and cross-cultural learning. I appreciate how the post doesn’t just celebrate international education, but actively invites students, faculty, and community members to engage via events, panels, and virtual sessions. The emphasis on “lasting intercultural connections” really resonates; it’s not about a one-off trip, but building bridges. Seeing that SUNY is coordinating across campuses shows how committed the system is to making global learning accessible. On a personal level, I remember how transformative study abroad was for me both intellectually and personally and this blog encourages others to consider doing the same. The virtual component is particularly smart, especially for widening participation. Thanks for sharing and for reminding us that education is richer when it’s global.
